Choose to make chores fun with the Chores Box from The Idea Box Kids!

Inside the Chores Box, you will find simple, everyday chores that children can accomplish easily.

Your child will love reaching in and choosing a coin/chore from the box.  After choosing a couple of coins from the box, put on some music & clean!  

Most of the chores require very little assistance from an adult. You will not find big, time consuming chores in the Chores Box or chores with items that you wouldn’t find in every house…like a bidet. Inside the box, you will not find “set the table for dinner” or “do the laundry” as the time of day you choose to do the chores might not work with the chore chosen. The goal is for the chore to be something simple that your child can accomplish easily and help contribute to the running of the house.

Keep things low stress, set your expectations to child and watch your little helper have fun doing their surprise chore. As with our other Idea Boxes the emphasis is on keeping the chores as child-led as possible. The cleaning may not be done perfectly…but, they did it themselves! This will give a great boost to your child’s self-esteem and sense of accomplishment, which will carry over into other areas of their lives and have positive, lasting effects.

• Wipe down countertops
• Spot Buster: Look for dirty spots to wipe clean

• Dust w/socks on hands
• Find items to recycle
