“You are never too small to make a difference.”
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has started a worldwide movement among young people to protest inaction around the climate crisis. Greta, who has Asperger syndrome, has cared deeply about the environment since she was 8 years old. She implemented many lifestyle choices to reduce her own carbon footprint, including becoming vegan and choosing not to travel via plane. When she was only 15 she began skipping school to protest at the Swedish parliament and soon was organizing other students to protest for more action by the people in power. She’s delivered passionate speeches to plead for action to important groups like the United Nations. She found her voice as a climate activist and realized that being different is actually her “superpower.”
This paint-by-number kit would be a great addition to a wall of history-making, ground-breaking people. Greta Thunberg has succeeded in turning vague anxieties about the planet into a worldwide movement calling for global change.
This is a fantastic modern spin on the vintage paint-by-number kit. I love that the backgrounds are printed-in as this adds a depth and sophistication unmatched in the early kits. Makes a terrific gift.
This paint-by-number kit features Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg with a sparrow on her shoulder surrounded by blue forget-me-not flowers. The pre-printed, full-color background sets Greta against a sunny, cloud-filled sky.
Completing the painting can take between 3-5 hours.
