Hard Edge Puzzle

The Hard-edge painting style was popular in the 1950s and 1960s. Although it was first identified with Californian artists, today the phrase widely describes a post-painterly form of abstraction that feature intense colors, distinct geometric forms and a smooth surface plane. Notable artists who adopted the style include Frederick Hammersley, Karl Benjamin, Lorser Feitelson and Frank Stella.
