Our Materials

At Stash, we cherish the unique nature of our materials. We use leather to build heritage goods that soften and patina with age. At our small business, every bag is built by human hands. We take a mindful approach to production rather than mass producing. Each piece of material we get in is assessed by our designer, cut by our builders and stitched together in a way that showcases it’s natural beauty.

Why leather?

Leather is a material that ages like fine wine. Historically used for its durability and practicality, ideal for heritage goods. We work with tanneries who are committed to sustainability and social responsibility, maintaining strict guidelines to create the best possible leathers for us and our planet.

No two bags are the same. Every piece of leather we receive tells a story of the life it’s lived. At STASH, we embrace the differences and allow our pieces to tell the story of its material, a story you join when you purchase your heritage piece.

Our Whole Hide Project

Rather than making large quantities, we build in small batches. We maximize each piece of leather we buy, making leather goods large and small. Products that are a part of our Whole Hide Project are pieces we designed to maximize the offcuts of our other designs.

What We Build

Our Classic line features tried and true STASH designs, some of which have been around since the beginning. We build these pieces out of premium aniline leathers in our favorite colors.

SHOP CLASSIC

Limited Edition pieces are our Classic patterns, built using show-stopping materials. We are collectors, STASHing our treasures to build one-of-a-kind artisan goods. Our previous work has included everything from vintage coffee sacks to offcuts from European designers.
